I
am not sure of the age of this vanity, but it does appear to be
possibly from the 1960s. Painted a soft linen white, I have not shabbied
it for time worn appeal, but if you would prefer that, just let me
know..no charge for distressing.

When
it was first found, it did not have a mirror where the original one
once was. A new one was put in its place and a ribboned trim placed
over the once plain trim.
This
would be absolutely wonderful for a desk or a vanity. Lots of room in
the middle that opens to keep office needs, or for its intended use and
the necessities you would keep in a vanity.

Also,
I can see it as a GREAT piece for a crafter, tucking away the things
you use daily making it easy to start your day. The storage area in the
middle would be wonderful also for jewelry. You could cut a piece of
velvet the size of the opening and hide away your more prized jewelry. A
table runner with a vase of flowers or other pretties could be
displayed on top and no one would know there is a secret hiding place
there. Oh, I can think of so many uses for this pretty piece, if I had
room I would keep it myself.

Since
it is open on the bottom, it would be very pretty with a vanity seat
tucked away underneath or two smaller cubed seats with this used in your
living area for extra seating when you need it. Or simply one of my
pretty chairs would be beautiful with it. If you are the winner of the
soft green chair, this is sooo pretty with it, and we could paint this
the green for you.

If
one of these uses and this pretty cottage chic vintage furniture
appeals to you but you need it in another color, just ask.We have a
number of colors from which to choose including black.
